Chinese Cuisine
The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.
Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.

The fried rice, prawns, and chicken & snow peas were delicious and the portions are huge. The Mongolian beef was mostly onion though, but that's our only complaint.

I love this restaurant! We live in Hawaii and come every summer to visit my dear in-laws in Cape George Colony. The food is excellent and lots of fresh vegetables! Lunch is $6.50 and I always have over half left! My favorite is Kung pao chicken. You can have it as spicy as you like. I also like the cashew chicken, chicken and vegetables, etc. It's all great food and the service is excellent! I highly recommend this restaurant!

We just had dinner, the family dinner selection, great service, good food. This is not a "high end" gourmet restaurant, but reasonably priced, very clean and the food was enough to serve 4, but was for 2, so lots of leftovers. I didn't see anywhere that they listed no MSG, so I was a little leery, but neither one of us had any negative reaction to the food, not even indigestion that usually follows a meal of Chinese food. We will be coming back!

We had lunch there for the first time yesterday. Food was excellent as was the service. We had lunch for $17 which was a bargain as we paid $36 for lunch last Monday in Sequim. My only problem was the music, way too loud for such a small area.

I don't know why so many reviews give this place such a bad rap. I've eaten here a couple of times and both meals were terrific. The last time I had to get it to go to catch a ferry and it was even packaged nicely. I had a spicy chicken dish that rivaled the one I get at my favorite Seattle sichuanese place. Recommended.

Fantastic Chinese cuisine with friendly service. We parked on the ferry dock in Port Townsend and walked to downtown for dinner, it was less than 5 mins walk to the place. We ordered Wonton soup, Mapo tofu, and Sweet and sour pork combo. It was a delicious meal. We were starving, but the food did not take long. It could be that we were the only customers at the time. Fresh ingredients, nice and clean environment. Overall, it was a delicious meal. Glad my bf and I have found this place :D We will be traveling this route often and will definitely stop by again. Thank you Golden for an amazing meal!

This restaurant is fairly new, and a little bit off the beaten track. They have a roomy and pleasant serving area in the corner of the old Swain's shopping center near the ferry, with polished wood floors, high ceilings, and large windows facing Water Street and Port Townsend Bay. We had lunch today, and were pleased with everything! They have a large menu of lunch specials (about 39 different items to choose from) all under $7, including soup, rice, and a heaping portion of the entree. I had Cashew Shrimp and Egg Flower Soup, all very tasty and a terrific value. I brought enough home for my lunch tomorrow. They have a number of vegetarian meals. Spicy selections are marked on the menu. They're open every day, and they do takeout. We will definitely eat here again.

I was really torn between two and three stars. Probably 3 would be better because the service was good, and there were a lot of lunch specials reasonably priced... but what we had, this one time, the first time, was not that great. We got an assorment appetizer. The char-siu pork was incredibly dry and the only sauce they had was soy sauce or hot mustard. The "Crab Wontons" were not crab but that pounded pollock "Krab" with a "K" imitation substance. We tried two different soups and they were both incredibly bland (although that's kindof an oxymoron) and the beef satay was tough as leather and they didn't give us knives. Fried shrimp wasn't bad. But here's the thing it's probably not fair to trash the place just on the first visit -- it's a good location, good service overall and neat and clean in the restaurant with nice booths. So we will probably give it one more shot and see how it goes.

This nice little Chinese restaurant came highly recommended, and for good reason. The service was good and the food was delicious. We'd go back again when in the area.

Thanks to bad shrimp me and my mother were served here, I am writing this review after a stint in the emergency room. Not only did the waitress refuse to acknowledge the fact that they were serving bad food, but she had the audacity to accuse me and my mother of A. just not liking the food and B. having food allergies to shrimp. She didn't even take off the bad shrimp from our ticket when asked, insisting the food here was good and fresh. I've tasted fresher and safer food at a Chinese buffet at 3 in the afternoon. Also, the chicken we ate tasted like it was fried in the same fryer as the shrimp. So if you really do have food allergies, don't go here. The health department has been notified, and the restaurant will be receiving my hospital bill.

Stopped by for a takeout dinner after arriving on an evening ferry. Service was friendly and prompt, and the restaurant clean. Too bad the food was quite a disappointment. Surprising since lunch on a previous visit to PT was very good. Chicken low mein was a bit bland, and a few hidden slivers was the only chicken in there. Almost no veggies like cabbage, carrots or onions. The few pieces that were there were overcooked. The pork with black bean sauce was the biggest diappointment. Watery sauce and the vegetables were thoroughly hammered. The peppers and pea pods were cooked into oblivion - a gray mush. Only a few pieces of colorless celery maintained any hint of firmness. The food was what one would expect after it sat on the steam table at a buffet for half of the day. Definitely didn't seem freshly prepared. May give this place one more try when we get back to PT, but only for lunch, since that will be more likely to be fresh.

We got some food to go last night and it was very disappointing.- The Chicken and vegetable dish was watery with no flavor. Same with the shrimp and veggies. But the kicker was the sweet and sour chicken. Actually we were asking "Where is the chicken" ... Little greasy lumps of batter. Pretty gross. I tried to give a piece to my dog and even he couldn't find the chicken. Since we had company, it was an embarrassment. We bought enough food for 4 people..one pkt of mustard and no soy sauce. We tried this restaurant when they first opened and didn't like it. Then we went there for lunch and it was good so I thought they had gotten their act together..not so..they should eat some of their own food.

We was in town for a trip to Oak Harbor,Wa getting ready to board. We had to grab quick lunch. The food had flavor and taste and the fried was plain simple. Great size shrimp. The customer service was great from waitress friendly with a smile. I cannot wait to try it for dinner sometime in near future.

This is as good as it gets for Chinese food! I have been to a lot of Chinese places. My wife is Chinese. She was not with me today but the food was fresh and delicious and served with a very nice smile. I was amazed at how clean it is and even the restroom was spotless. This is a family business and Dad cooks, Mom helps him and serves and daughter waits tables. The portions are very large even for me and I'm a big guy. The only thing wrong about this place is, its location. It's in Port Townsend and I live about 50 miles away.

Good service, but that's about it. Zero flavoring in dishes. Fried rice soggy. Could have made this food at home and with better flavor. Nice try but no cigar.

3 of 5 members of my family were violently ill for 2 days after a meal here! This was in Jan 2015 Beware

This was the WORSE tasting Chinese food I have had. Spring rolls only had cabbage inside of them and were greasy, chicken and veggies had an odd taste and was in a brown sauce, sweet and sour pork very greasy and sauce was greasy also. I did not eat this ant threw the rest down the disposal. Would not go back if it were the last place on earth to eat..

My friend and I both got sick after eating here. I obviously would not suggest eating here.

Okay, I don't know were to start. I ordered sweet and sour chicken, my grandma ordered fried shrimp after getting our food we were talking about how bland it was, we tasted each other's food and they tasted the same. .. tell me, how can chicken and shrimp taste the same? Anyways that was 2 days ago and we have both been shitting our brains out ever since. Don't go here you will get sick.

Yummm!!! What a great surprise this place was! We each ordered the orange chicken, although I will warn you....portions are HUGE! We really could have shared one order between the 2 of us. But I figure, if that's the biggest complaint....we're doing pretty good! The food was really delicious, and the prices were about $11 per plate (which, again I will say, the portions are HUGE, so you're getting a lot of bang for your buck!). I highly recommend this place to anyone. Service was fast and friendly too!

Absolutely horrible food. They even tried to charge me extra for pork fried rice that I didn't even order. Wow!!
